Conducting Online Auditions for 4 Roles

Blare Media is casting 4 actors.

Two for a “Life is in the Details” and two for “Professor Pixel”.

The two projects are similar in nature. They will consist of 5 videos each that will be used online. The goal is to educate on the qualities of 4k ultra HD video, high dynamic range, wide color spectrum

“Life is in the Details” will focus more on 4k Blu-ray disc technology. “Professor Pixel” will focus on the Ultra HD Premium logo and what standards TV and content needs to meet in order to use it.

Each sets of videos will be shot in one day. “Life is in the Details” on day 1 and “Professor Pixel” day 2.

Shooting will take place in the 2nd or 3rd week of August 2017 in Los Angeles.

Pay: $750 (including residual payoff)

Life is in the Details

Roles 1
Name: Hephaestus
Gender: Male
Age: 21-35
Ethnicity: Any

Character Description: A tech expert whose head may be in the clouds but it’s full of a vast amount of technical knowledge. His charts and graphs are undecipherable and he presents information only other tech-heads will get.

Roles 2
Name: Jaci
Gender: Female
Age: 30-45
Ethnicity: Any

Character Description: A bright, cheerful tech savvy woman who understands the information Professor Pixel is presenting but makes the concepts much easier for the viewer to comprehend by showcasing simple graphics and “translating” the tech speak into terms we can all understand.

Professor Pixel

Roles 1
Name: Professor Pixel
Gender: Male
Age: 40-50
Ethnicity: Any

Character Description: Thin, intelligent looking, quirky, charismatic, strong improv technique.

Roles 2
Name: Phil
Gender: Male
Age: 30-45
Ethnicity: Any

Character Description: Relaxed, oblivious, excellent comedic timing, simple everyman.

If selected you will then be sent the sides/script and scheduled for audition.

You will also have an option to do an online audition by recording yourself delivering the script. You are encouraged to have someone else read with you. Recording with you phone is ok just make sure you record yourself with you phone horizontal (landscape) and not vertical (not portrait). Then you can upload you best takes to vimeo or youtube and send us the link.
