Video Production for: Own A Car

Name: Test Drive

Description: We produced this spot to emulate a movie trailer for a movie titled 'Test Drive' with the goal of showing a lot of slick shots of cars and really standing out from all the other used car dealership's television advertisements. We were honored with a Golden ADDY at the 2007 Fresno Advertising Federation Awards Ceremony for the 60-second version of this spot.

For this television commercial we did a lot of video production in Fresno, San Francisco and Los Angeles. We did not have our RED One at this point so we shot all of the footage using our Sony Z1U HDV Camera. We used Final Cut Pro to edit all the footage and did extensive color correction in that program as well. We used Apple Shake to do some stabilization and Adobe After Affects to do things like put the Fresno City Limit sign in. There is a sign there but it's very hard to read on camera at those speeds and so we recreated it in order to make it clear and so that we could do the speed change and make it changeable for Own A Car dealerships in other cities.

For the girl at the end we used After Effects to edit and rotoscope her eyes and make them the color they are. Our friend and occasional VO Artist Greg Belemjian did the Voiceover.
